working on a real career..

i started the new year with a resolution to go back to school for a certificate..

Halloween gave me the idea of a class i wanted to do.. realizing that i have always had a love for blood, i decided to go for phlebotomy certification! to be a certified vampire!!
;-)

and so a couple of weeks ago i started my classes..
after being out of school for over 20 years.. my memory is for shit when it comes to written tests.. but it's almost dead on with multiple-choice test.. i guess i do know i am an old lady..
last week i signed up for some tutoring help, BUT.. they have no phleb tutors.. BUT..
i went above people's head to get me a tutor to help me on how to get my memory skills working.. and teach me some better studying ways for those written tests and even better note taking skills..
so, at least it's some type of help, especially for the tests.
phleb class is tough.. and the labs are fun..

my parents seem pretty happy that i'm doing something worthwhile and not just sitting on my ass like i've done the last 5 months after i was let go from my job..
and just last week, (thank you snagajob.com!!) i was called for a job at the local dominos as a driver..
the pay is shitty.. the tips and mileage are what is paying me good.. LUV IT!!

so life is going in a solid direction that will fill a hole in my life..

i'm still working on my idea of a horror film festival to raise monies for making my movie..
if i could make that a regular thing, that would keep lots of money coming in and then i could possibly make more movies too..

the fun ideas i'm writing is the entertainment part of the festival..
i have ideas for several of my favorite bands to attend..
CALABRESE, CREATURE FEATURE.. to name a couple..
and then i do have some horror celebrity contacts that would be very nice!!
so much to do on that.. that project is going to be a long term thing..

FIRST.. i have to finish my schooling..

and dream about finding me a man to fill some of my empty times at night..
